Coin silver fork, marked “GOWDEY &
PEABODY” for Thomas Gowdey and John Peabody who were in partnership in
Nashville, TN from 1843 to 1847, according to Caldwell in Tennessee
Silversmiths. The fork is 7-1/2
inches in length and in excellent condition.
