Coin silver spoon, circa 1790-1800, marked “WILMOT” 5-1/2 inches in length.  According to Kovels’ there were at least three Wilmots working in America in 1800.  Thomas Wilmot of Rutland, VT, Samuel Wilmot of New Haven, CT and Thomas T. Wilmot of New Haven, CT.  The latter two were in Charleston, SC by 1835 working there.  This spoon is in very good condition with a monogram of “LDC.”
