Coin silver camm marked on bottom twice “S. Richards.”  Period engraving on bottom is “HH to CLH” and “1818.”  “S. Richards” was either the mark of Samuel R. Richards, Jr. that Kovels shows working in Philadelphia, PA from 1791 to 1818 or it was the mark of Stephen Richards of New York that Kovels shows working from 1815 to 1825.  The form appears to predate 1818 and it is reasonable to assume that Samuel R. Richards, Jr., the older man of the two, is the more likely maker.  The camm is in near perfect condition and is of heavy construction with a star band at bottom and a rope band motif at the center and top.

The camm has a height of 3½ inches, a diameter on the top of 2 15/16 inches and the diameter of the bottom is 3⅛ inches.
