  • Ohio or New Hampshire Feather Edge Teaspoons - circa 1790
  • Item 1144
  • $225

Ohio or New Hampshire Feather Edge Teaspoons – circa 1790 Four teaspoons marked “WM” twice on back, 5-1/2 inches in length.  WM probably stands for William Moulton, born 1720, died 1793.  Moulton moved from Newburyport, MA about 1743 to Hampstead, NH.  In about 1788 he moved with his family to Marietta, Ohio where he continued to work as a silversmith according to Patricia Kane in Colonial Massachusetts Silversmiths and Jewelers.  The spoons are in very good condition but some wear to the feather edge.  Monogram is difficult to read.
