Fayetteville, North Carolina dessert spoon, marked “Selph & Pyle,” a partnership formed by John Selph and Benjamin Pyle who worked together from August 29, 1837 to Selph’s death in August 1838.  Monogram is “JM.”  Condition is good except for dents in the bowl.  Length is 6¼ inches.  The form is like a coffin end spoon of the 1800 period.
