Sheraton chest of drawers, circa 1825-1840.
Primary wood is mahogany, secondary wood of poplar and white pine. Probably made in New York. The piece started with a mirror on it that
has been removed but the piece is perhaps more striking without the mirror. Best of the pillow and scroll type of Empire
furniture. Hardware is period but may
not be original to the chest. Excellent
condition.
